The Recent Observations gallery contains images and sketches shown by members during the Observations Slot at the end of recent monthly WOLAS meetings. Images are ordered by the month of the meeting where they were shown, with the latest ones last.
Click on an image to start a slideshow or click on the caption to see the image in the image detail mode. In this mode, clicking on an image will open the image at a larger size in a new window. In slideshow or detail view mode, view images in full screen (usually F11) for the best enjoyment.

Your Images
If you would like to send us an image to show at a forthcoming WOLAS monthly meeting then please email it or send it to our Observations Director whose details are on the Contact Us page. After the monthly meeting we will post the image in this gallery and if we really like it then it may eventually end up in the General WOLAS Images gallery.
If you are sending in images it would really help if you meet the following conditions:
– no more than 1280 pixels wide and 820 pixels in height
– jpeg format (or gif format if animated)
– no more than 500kB in size for jpeg and 1MB for animated gif
– please include your name,object and date in the file name; for example: joe_smith-M45-2025_10_25.jpg
– if you want to add further details for people to see when posted on the website, please emboss them in the image itself. White text on a black background exhibits good contrast when displayed by a projector.
